Mumble Dumble Bumble Numble We got Gary's Rav4 back last night finally. Poor guy now has to get used to a clutch and a higher vehicle again. He was laughing at himself because he kept forgetting to engage the clutch to start the car. Hee hee. Then he took me to Nick and Willy's for pizza (yum yum yum) and then I went to my Mary Kay appointment and made $189. Yippee for me! Tonight we're going to the movies (a movie that isn't the discount matinee for once) at the Cine' Capri! We're going to see the Sin City movie -- it looks really stunning, but I hope it's good. There's been a lot of "stunning" movies lately what with all the special effects and thing those crazy kids can do now. :^P Heh heh. Another movie based on a comic book/graphic novel? I'm so far out of the loop I might even be in, but I'll tell you I am out of it when it comes to all the new graphic novels. Heck, I'm still out of it with the Fantastic Four. If it wasn't a biggie like Spiderman, etc, I didn't know about it. Oddly enough, my brother wasn't too much into comic books. I'm surprised my dad wasn't either, what with how he liked all the adventure movies and everything. Mom collects books but she doesn't read them. I love to read; I'd rather be reading than typing this entry, but I don't have any good books here at work and my eyes ache a bit from reading stuff off the internet. I've been spending a lot of time at snopes.com - that's the urban legend website. I've more or less read everything on there of interest. I've also read most of the rotten.com library as well as the crimelibrary.com site. Or at least everything that's interesting to me there. I'm such a mayhem voyeur. I've also been reading anime fanfics but my scope of anime (or at leat interest) is limited so there's only so much out there. Also take into consideration the literary skills of your average otaku and you know how good these stories are. Many are lemon or lime (adult) or hentai (very adult) which doesn't offend me in the least, but I'm the kind of person who sometimes critiques porn for its production values and script coherency. God I'm strange. I also don't hear well sometimes, which sometimes makes for hilarious results because Gary tends to mumble. Last night he said "I got on the computer and bought the tickets online" and I heard "I bought the computer for Christmas online" so something is probably wrong with the synapses in my brain between my ears. That and Gary mumbles.
