Birth, school, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, death I'm wondering what to do about my job. The truth is, it's great. I have no outside responsibility and when I leave ofr the day I LEAVE. Yes, I have to do e-mails and log cases and answer phones, but like I've said, it's a trained monkey job. However, it's through a temp agency, so if I don't go to work, I don't get paid. Now, at the end of 720 hours through the temp agency I can work as an independent contractor. However, I still won't get any benies, and I will also get 1099'd which I hate worse than no benefits. I talked to Supervisor re: becoming a full-timer, which of course she doesn't have the authorization to add. There's two of us that are in a better position to be at least part-timers -- we're freaking adults with spouses with children or animals to feed. I can understand that its more cost-inducive to the company to use contractors, but with the rate of turnover, it is really wise to have to keep training people over and over and over? I don't want to give up this job. I like the job and most of the people and the fact that I have a lot of free time to run the other two businesses. But then what's really my incentive to stay? sigh.
