The joy of being married to a laid-back science geek. What a guy! I just love him. Anyway, the weekend was quiet, and I knitted up a storm, so much so that I�m going to start a new top today, despite the fact that I had previously placed a moratorium on knitting myself a sweater until I had finished losing weight. But I found a lovely pattern and I�m going to make it in a much smaller size. Besides that, even if it�s too small, I�m making it out of bamboo which seems to stretch by astronomical proportions. We shall see.
At work, I�ve been suffering with one of my peeves (I don�t necessarily have pet peeves, as the term pet infers that I have a limited number of peeves and I can, in fact, find fault and complain about a near infinite number of things) which has to do with the ice cube trays. The ice maker can�t be used, as the water line is also connected to the coffee maker, and the water pressure has to be fairly high to the coffee maker. However, the water pressure is too high for the ice maker, which then overflows and we have icicles throughout the freezer. However, with these nitwits here, many of whom are single men who live alone, people have been picking out cubes directly from the trays and then putting the tray back. This finally prompted this note, now prominently displayed in the freezer: Dear selfish person who puts their grubby fingers all over the ice picking out 6 cubes and then putting the tray back in the freezer without cracking out the entire tray and then refilling the tray with fresh water:STOP IT. It seems to be working. They may be single geeks with the social skills of a ferret fascinated by his own genitalia, but it seems they can read.
