So anyway, I finished the Stars and Bars Sox:
Are those not darling or what?? I love how they�re symmetrical. I ripped them apart once because they were one stripe off and it was driving me crazy! And since I make both socks at the same time, I had ended up with two big fat snarls of yarn, which I threw at the Hubster and said, �Make me two identical balls!�
Balls of yarn, you degenerates. Sheesh.
So he did (because, oddly enough, he likes challenges like that) and I reknitted them and look how cute they are! Just in time for Memorial Day. I�ve gone off socks for a while, so now I�ve started a new ruana (it�s like a poncho/shawl). This one will be for Mom for Christmas and I�ll make another one for the SIL for her Christmas present. Bubba asked for a pair of socks, and I have some lovely glencheck grey wool that should work well.
Yes, Christmas presents, knitters have to start early, you know!
I�ve also started going back to the gym and I�m trying to kill myself with Zumba, a high-energy salsa dancing/aerobics/jumping around and shaking your booty until you slip a disc kind of class. And since it�s now getting to be 100* before 9 am these days, I�ve been sweating like an ox. Time to move the fan into the den and point it at my chair! Ugh.
