Wreaking Havoc on Internal Plumbing! Happy Friday All! I just wanted to pop in quick and give an update about my dad. He had his surgery this morning, and it wasn't laproscopic -- it was decided to do more exploratory and check the other organs. The colon resection went very well and it's off to the pathologist. The liver looked great, but Dad's gallbladder was all stony and swollen, so they snared that puppy right out of there. He's out of recovery and in a room, and his vitals are excellent. Blood pressure's good, pulse oxygen is good, and Mom's not freaking out as much. He is however, in quite a bit of pain - imagine that - and he's on a morphine pumps but he's already maxed that out. I say, hey, when you're diabetic and have Alzheimer's and you just had your gallbladder whacked out with a hockey stick, c'mon with the morphine. Buckets of it. Keep sending those good thoughts and wishes and prayers! Everything's looking good right now, but a little extra love never hurts. Ta!
